All-on-4 vs All-on-6: Which Solution Should You Choose in Turkey?

Should you get 4 or 6 implants per jaw? The right choice depends on your bone density and bite strength, not aesthetic preference.

All-on-4: the fastest fixed solution

All-on-4 involves placing a full fixed prosthesis on just 4 implants per arch, two of which are angled at the back of the jaw to make use of available bone without a prior bone graft. This makes it the fastest solution to carry out: in most cases, a fixed provisional prosthesis is fitted the very same day as the surgery.

It's particularly suited to patients who have enough bone but not a large amount, and who want to avoid a bone graft. It's also the more budget-friendly option, for a result that remains fixed, natural-looking and fully functional.

All-on-6: more stability for a more demanding bite

All-on-6 follows the same principle, but with 6 implants per arch instead of 4. This wider base distributes chewing forces better and offers superior stability, particularly for patients with a strong bite or a longer arch to support.

It's generally recommended when bone quality allows for it and the patient is looking for the sturdiest long-term solution, particularly for the lower jaw, which is under greater mechanical strain than the upper jaw.

And what about longevity?

With good hygiene and regular check-ups, both All-on-4 and All-on-6 implants can last more than 20 years. The difference isn't about the system's inherent lifespan, but about its ability to absorb mechanical strain over time — which is exactly why All-on-6 is worth it for the jaws under the most strain.

How Zynea determines the right solution for you

At Zynea Clinic, the choice between All-on-4 and All-on-6 is never decided in advance: it's based on a review of your file (imaging, bone density, bite) carried out by the surgeon before a personalized quote is proposed. This step avoids two common pitfalls in low-cost dental tourism: under-sizing the solution to cut the price, or over-sizing it without medical justification.

Both protocols come with the same level of care: certified surgeons, internationally certified biocompatible materials, and full support throughout your stay (accommodation, transfers, bilingual coordinator).
